Career Opportunities

Building Strong Foundations for the Future

There are a variety of exciting opportunities open to those who choose union masonry as a career. After developing skills and gaining hands-on experience through a structured training program, union masons can go on to become job stewards, foremen, supervisors, union organizers, field representatives, instructors, estimators, inspectors, or even business owners. These masonry positions can offer excellent pay and benefits, as well as a secure and rewarding lifestyle.

By participating in a JATC masonry apprenticeship program, apprentices also have the opportunity to earn an associate degree through Ivy Tech State College without having to incur any student loan debt. In addition, apprentices receive assistance in securing a quality, high-paying job, and can work in any area of the country that has a local masonry union.
